Claims Process

What is the claims process for No Win No Fee Accident Claims
Initially you will need to speak with one of our specialists in personal injury compensation claims. At Active Legal you should speak first with either Kerry Kirkbride on 0800 077 8845 or Lloyd Hemmings on the same telephone number.



Assuming the claim that you have is one that can be dealt with by us we will write to you with various documents. We will write to you within 24 hours of us accepting your claim Our initial letter to you will include some documents that you will need to read and return to us. When we receive your documents back we will write to the person or representatives of the person responsible for your injury to get your claim going. We will call them 'the other side' At some point you will need to see a medical expert who will assess your injuries and write a medical report. We arrange all of this for you and take care of any payments that the expert requires. Once this report is with us, and with your agreement to it's content, we will prepare what is called a Schedule of Losses. We will then send the schedule to the other side asking them to pay . This schedule will include the whole of your claim, including compensation for your injury, any financial losses such as out of pocket expenses and/or loss of earnings. At this point the other side will either pay or dispute the value of your claim. This where you need a specialist such as Kerry or one of her team to get maximum compensation for you. The case will only go to court if agreement cannot be reached. It is in the interests of the other side to keep their costs to a minimum so the vast majority of claims never go to court.
